In accordance with the law, the free assistance measures for mothers and children who have evacuated due to the nuclear accident have been extended until Monday, March 31, 2025.

Measures | Tolls will be free if you use the IC (round trip) listed in the <use section within the route subject to free measures> in the "certificate for mother-child/father-child evacuation and its movement route".

How to pass | At the entrance tollhouse, please pick up your toll ticket in the lane labeled "General", "ETC / General", "Support" or "ETC / Support". At the exit tollhouse, hand the toll ticket to the staff in the lane labeled "General", "ETC / General", "Support" or "ETC / Support", present the required documents in the previous column, and then " Please tell us that you are a mother and child evacuees. Use with ETC is not eligible for free measures. In the lane labeled "ETC / General" or "ETC / Support", remove the ETC card from the in-vehicle device and enter the lane. If the exit tollhouse is in the lane where the toll checker labeled "General checkout machine" is installed, use the call button or lever to call the staff. If the exit tollhouse is a lane labeled "Support" or "ETC / Support", please inform the staff that you are a "mother and child evacuees, etc." using an intercom, etc. |

(Handling when a child "passes the first March 31st after reaching the age of 18")
- Children and their parents who have passed the first March 31 after reaching the age of 18 are not eligible for the free Expressway measures, so please return them to the municipality that issued the certificate.
If the contents of the certificate are changed, it will be necessary to reissue the certificate, so please reapply to the municipality that issued the certificate. - Those who already have a certificate and have returned to their home prior to the earthquake will not be eligible for free Expressway measures, so please return it to the municipality that issued the certificate.

- ETC lanes are not available.
* Please be sure to take a toll ticket at the entrance.
* If you use the entrance in the ETC lane, it will not be free.
* When using a mixed lane with "ETC / General" or "ETC / Support" displayed at the entrance, remove the ETC card from the in-vehicle device, enter the lane, and take the toll ticket. If you enter the lane with the ETC card inserted in the in-vehicle device, it will be treated as an ETC vehicle and will not be free. - Smart ICs cannot be used.
- At the exit, present the necessary documents and tell the staff that you are a "mother and child evacuee".
- In the lane where the toll checker is installed, call the attendant by using the call button or lever.
- If the exit tollhouse is a lane labeled "Support" or "ETC / Support", please inform the staff that you are a "mother and child evacuees, etc." using an intercom, etc.
- Please be sure to show the original required documents. If you do not provide the required documents, it will not be free.
- There is no charge if the person in question is on board (not the driver).
- If you get on or off an IC other than those listed in "Certificates related to mother / child / father / child evacuation and its travel route", please pay the toll fee.
- If you use more than the IC section described in "Certificates related to mother / child / father / child evacuation and its travel route", you will have to pay the toll for all the sections you have traveled.
- Yamagata Expressway / Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway (Yudonoyama-Sakata Minato), Tokyo Outer Ring Road, Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway, Keiyo Road (Shinozaki-Makuhari), Shuto Expressway, Hitachi Naka Toll Road, Hitachi Toll Road, Daini Michinoku toll roads and Choshi access roads are not eligible for free measures.
