NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is designed to provide customers with safe, secure and comfortable use of Expressway. E49 We will carry out night closures between the Ban-Etsu Expressway Niigata Chuo Junction (JCT) and the Aizuwakamatsu Interchange (IC) due to pavement repair work.

We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers, but this work is necessary to use the Expressway safely and comfortably. We will do our best to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Ban-Etsu Expressway closed at night (32 nights)

section (1) Between Niigata Chuo JCT and Yasuda IC
Implementation period Monday, August 26-Friday, August 30 [5 nights]

  • In addition to the above traffic closure, we will close the ramp of Niigata Chuo JCT.

    • Day 2: You will not be able to get off at the Niigata Chuo IC In-bound line (Murakami side).
  • The Niigata parking area (PA) and Gosen PA will be closed at 19:00 for both up and down lines.

  • The Aganogawa Service Area (SA) will be closed at 19:00 for both the up and down lines.

  • The merging ramp from the Nishiaizu PA (Out-bound line) to the main line (toward Niigata) will close at 20:00.
  • Both Kamikawa PA (upper and lower lines) and Nishiaizu PA (In-bound) will be closed at 20:00.
  • The outflow from the Nishiaizu PA (Out-bound line) to the main line (toward Niigata) will be closed at 20:00.

Construction overview

Ban-Etsu Expressway repair damaged roads between Niigata Chuo JCT and Aizuwakamatsu IC, and construct, inspect and clean tunnel facilities.

In order to minimize the impact on customers, we will carry out traffic closures during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.
