NEXCO EAST Iwaki Management Office (Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture) will be implementing full-day lane restrictions and full-day two-way traffic restrictions on both sides of the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Joban Expressway") from Soma Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") to Yamamoto IC in order to carry out bridge repair work and other works.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

2. Construction overview
At the Shinchi Kizuna Bridge, located between Soma IC and Shinchi IC on Joban Expressway in both directions, the extension deck damaged in the Fukushima offshore earthquake in March 2022 will be demolished and reconstructed. The construction will be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner to minimize inconvenience to customers. This construction is necessary to ensure that customers can use Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
3. Requests when using
- As the lanes and shoulders of the road are narrow, please adhere to the speed limit, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and take care to avoid rear-end collisions. In addition, as the lanes change significantly before and after the restricted area, please follow the local guide signs and other instructions.
- Please be aware that construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the area surrounding the construction site, so please be mindful of what is ahead.
- During the construction period, we will provide traffic congestion information using LED information boards, road information boards and road signs to provide information on construction restrictions, and we ask that you pass through safely.
