NEXCO EAST Kitakami Management Office (Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture) will be closing the Maesawa Service Area (hereinafter referred to as "SA") on the In-bound E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") at night for pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when heading out.

2. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway In-bound Pavement repair work will be carried out at the Maesawa SA on the Route 4, due to damage to the pavement.
The work will involve pavement repair at the ramp and inside the SA, which will require closing the ramp for the work. To minimize inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed at night on weekdays when traffic volume is low, so that the work can be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

3. How to obtain traffic information

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.

    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.
