NEXCO EAST Iwaki Management Office and Iwaki Construction Office (Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture) will have four lanes on Joban Expressway between the E6 Joban Expressway Iwaki Central Interchange (IC) and Shinchi IC in a two-lane section (one lane on each side). Due to construction work, additional lane installation work, and new Iwaki Futaba IC construction work, we will implement nighttime closure as follows.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you will have time to spare when you go out.

(1) Between Soma IC and Shinchi IC (upper and lower lines)
(2) Between Joban Tomioka IC and Minamisoma IC (upper and lower lines)
(3) Between Iwaki Chuo IC and Hirono IC (upper and lower lines)
(4) Between Hirono IC and Joban Tomioka IC (upper and lower lines)
2 suspension period
(1) 2020 January 14th (Tuesday) to 16th (Thursday) (3 nights)
(2) 2020 January 27th (Monday) -February 5th (Wednesday) (8 nights)

(Preliminary Date: 2020, January 17 (Friday) to 24 days (gold), 2020, February 6 (Thursday) to 21 days (gold), 2020 March 16 (Mon. ) -30th (Monday))
- As a general rule, construction will not be performed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Please be sure to check the latest information on websites such as "DraTra" when using the Expressway, as the closing date and time and sections may change depending on the weather.

5 Construction content
[1] Installation of a guard rail in the median strip for additional lane construction between Soma IC and Shinchi IC
[2] Installation of guard rails, etc. in the median strip of Joban Futaba IC construction between Joban Tomioka IC and Minamisoma IC, and lane switching for that purpose
[3] Removal of rockfall protection fence and installation of temporary protection fence for 4-lane construction between Iwaki Chuo IC and Hirono IC
[4] Removal of rockfall protection fence and installation of temporary protection fence for additional lane construction from Hirono IC to Joban Tomioka IC

6 Regarding transfer fare adjustment due to suspension of traffic
For passengers who leave the Expressway once due to a nighttime suspension and bypass the closed section and transfer again in the same direction, we will make a "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used.

7 Information provision
