NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) is the Iwaki Shikura section of the Joban Expressway Iwaki Yokura IC-Joban Tomioka IC section that was closed due to the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred at 14:46 on March 11, 2011. As for the section between IC and Hirono IC, we closed the road at 13:00 today as the emergency restoration of this section was completed and safety was confirmed.
For customers using the Hirono IC, please be aware that the surrounding area has been designated as an "emergency evacuation preparation area" and disaster recovery is in progress in each area.
About cancellation of 1 Joban Expressway closure (implementation)

2 About free measures for vehicles urgently evacuated following the Fukushima nuclear accident
Regarding the free measures that are currently being implemented, the Hirono Interchange (IC) will be added due to the cancellation of the above-mentioned suspension of traffic, and the applicable toll gates are as follows.
