NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Regional Head Office President: Mikio Kashima) In order to understand the winter tire installation situation and ask customers to replace the tire as soon as possible, we will regularly survey the winter tire installation situation on the Expressway until the installation rate improves and announce the results.
1 Status of winter tire installation on Expressway
The Tohoku Regional Head Office conducts an annual winter tire installation status survey at major interchanges (ICs) on Expressway, and this year it started on November 2nd (Monday).
The results of this survey and the first snow days at the Japan Meteorological Agency's major stations are as follows.
The next survey results will be announced on November 11, 18, 26, and December 2.
(It may be changed without notice if the survey could not be performed due to bad weather etc.)

- Survey method: Visually check the tire type of the vehicle passing through the general lane at the tollgate.

(1) Wear early winter tires!
When snow starts every year, the winter tire wear rate is low and traffic accidents tend to occur frequently.
Expressway Even with summer tires, it will not be possible to run on snowy roads, so for safety, please wear winter tires early.
(2) Even if you wear winter tires, drive carefully on snowy roads!
Even if you have winter tires, you may get into an accident because you are not accustomed to the speed, steering wheel and brake operation according to the snowy road. Keep a sufficient distance between cars, reduce speed and try to drive safely.
