1 Install heating/washing toilet seats in all Western-style toilets.

2 Install automatic faucets for hot water in all areas.
- One for men, one for women, and one for multipurpose restrooms.
Present: About 92% (310 locations) → End of FY2008: 100%.
3 Promote Westernization of Japanese style toilets in all areas.
- Increase the proportion of Western style toilets to the total number of toilets.
Present: About 33% (436 locations) → End of FY2010: 60% or more
4 Refresh the toilet.
1) Restroom refresh open this year
- Tohoku Expressway Maesawa SA (upper and lower lines): Opened on April 16, 2008
- Tohoku Expressway Abukuma PA (upper and lower lines): Opened September 12, 2008
- Tohoku Expressway Chojahara SA (upper and lower lines): Scheduled to open in March 2009
2) Main repair contents
- As a barrier-free washroom, we have eliminated internal steps and installed handrails from the entrance to the inside to improve safety and comfort for all customers, including children and the elderly. did.
- Based on the opinions and requests of customers, we increased the proportion of Western style toilets and installed heated toilet seats for all of them.
- Inside the men's and women's restroom, we have set up a wide toilet booth that allows children to change diapers and use it in a wheelchair.
- A bright toilet space was created by reviewing lighting equipment and interior materials.
- For men's urinals, we have installed urinals that are easy for children to use.
- We have installed entrance signs that are easy for customers to understand.
3) Future plans
We will continue to refresh the toilets in accordance with customer needs and regional characteristics in accordance with frequently used areas and aging facilities.
For 2009, we plan to refresh toilets in the following 3 areas.
- Tohoku Expressway Kagamiishi PA (upper and lower lines)
- Tohoku Expressway Azuma PA (upper and lower lines)
- Tohoku Expressway Sugo PA (upper and lower lines)
