At locations where traffic jams are expected to occur, we have installed electronic display boards to alert customers to "Caution to slow down" and "Caution against rear-end collision." If you find a traffic jam ahead, turn on the hazard lamp and signal the car behind you.

≪Reference 1≫ <
During the Golden Week period of last year [14th April 2006 (Wednesday) to 9th May 2006 (Tuesday) 14 days], there was 5 times of traffic congestion of 10km or more on the Tohoku Expressway (4 Out-bound lines, 4 In-bound lines) It occurs once. Of these, two Out-bound lines and one In-bound line caused traffic congestion due to traffic accidents.

・2 Interchange (IC) exit traffic jam
During the Golden Week season, congestion may occur at the nearest IC exit due to the concentration of customers heading to events such as the Sakura Festival and leisure spots.

At the ICs shown in the table below, traffic congestion of about 1 to 2 km occurred mainly in the morning of May 3 and 4 of last year.

If a traffic jam occurs at the IC exit, we are trying to alleviate the traffic jam by opening all lanes at the tollgate exit and arranging guides. ) ・Please check the traffic conditions announced on the highway information terminal in the parking area (PA), electronic display, etc., and use the IC in front of you or ahead of us to cooperate. ..
