NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Regional Head Office: At length Kazuo Kumagai), in the service area of the five places in the Tohoku region is "ostomy corresponding toilet" I've now available from June 1.
"Ostomate-compatible toilets" are toilets that can be used by ostomates who have an artificial anus and artificial bladder, which are said to have approximately 200,000 people all over Japan. This makes it even easier to travel by car.
The service areas that can be used this time are part of the Tohoku Expressway in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, but construction is underway in other service areas as well. I will inform you separately.
From June 7th to 8th, the 18th National Convention of the Japan Ostomy Society will be held in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture.

At NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office, all Western-style toilet seats for the toilets in the service area will be heated by next winter, and AED (automatic external defibrillator to resuscitate patients with cardiopulmonary arrest) will be installed for breaks. We will strive to further improve the service at the facility.
