NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office Yuzawa Management Office (Yuzawa Town, Minamiuonuma District) will be conducting a comprehensive disaster prevention drill on Thursday, September 26th at the management site within In-bound Yuzawa Interchange (IC) on the Kan-etsu Kan-Etsu Expressway, simulating a traffic accident occurring inside the E17 Kan Kan-Etsu Expressway etsu Tunnel (upbound).
This training, which has been conducted since 1986, aims to confirm quick and accurate response procedures in cooperation with police, fire departments, and emergency services by conducting crew rescue training in the event of a traffic accident inside the long Kan'etsu Tunnel, as well as evacuation guidance training assuming the use of evacuation tunnels and vehicle fire extinguishing training.This year marks the 36th time the training has been conducted.

3. training scenario
- 関越自動車道 関越トンネル（上り線）内において、故障車を原因とした交通事故が発生。避難坑を活用し事故現場に急行。
- A fire broke out from the front of the car. Guide the crew to the evacuation pit.
- The fire was extinguished initially and extinguished by fire engine.
- Rescued the occupants of the car using tools.
- The accident vehicle was removed by towing work.

Training conducted in the past
