NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) will be closed during the Obon period. [11 days from Thursday, August 8th to Sunday, August 18th, 2024] Traffic congestion forecast for Expressway under the jurisdiction of the Niigata Regional Head Office (traffic congestion of 5 km or more) *1) will be notified to you.
To ease traffic congestion, We ask for your cooperation in "dispersing use of the service" by avoiding days and times when congestion is predicted. Traffic conditions can change significantly due to accidents, weather, etc. Please check the latest road information when using the service.

3. About traffic congestion season special site/traffic forecast guide
NEXCO EAST 's customer website `` DraPla'' has a special site for traffic congestion periods. In addition to posting traffic jam forecast guides, ``traffic forecasters'' from each Regional Head Office in Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, and Niigata provide video explanations of points for avoiding traffic jams. Please note that the traffic jam forecast guide will also be distributed in booklet form at each rest facility, so please make use of it.
4. Holiday discounts will not be applied during the Obon period.
To avoid worsening traffic congestion, holiday discounts will not be applied during the Obon period from August 10th (Saturday) to 12th (Monday, national holiday) and from August 17th (Saturday) to 18th (Sunday). Please see below for details.
