Nagaoka University of Technology (Nagaoka City) and NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) are engaged in various fields such as academic research, community contribution, SDGs, education and human resource development regarding road construction / maintenance and disaster prevention / mitigation on Expressway. In order to cooperate with each other in the fields and further promote the realization of safe, secure and sustainable local communities and human resource development, the "Collaboration Agreement on Road Construction / Maintenance and Disaster Prevention / Mitigation on Expressway" was signed. 4 It was signed on Thursday, April 14, 2014.

Nagaoka University of Technology has been promoting academic collaboration, particularly in the field of civil engineering, as well as at technical review committees.
In December 2020 Kan-Etsu Expressway In light of the establishment of a Regional Disaster Prevention Research Center at Nagaoka University of Technology, we have decided to conclude a partnership agreement in order to promote more practical cooperation in a wide range of fields, including disaster prevention and mitigation, in order to secure safety and security, such as response to large-scale disasters caused by heavy snowfall and measures against aging of structures, such as large-scale stagnation in Nagaoka.
Through this partnership agreement, we would like to effectively integrate the resources we have and advance research aimed at the safety and security of local and Expressway.
