NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo Ward, Niigata City) [12 days from Wednesday, August 8, 2012 to Sunday, August 19, 2012] We have summarized the locations where traffic congestion is predicted in Niigata Prefecture due to traffic congestion and countermeasures.
1 Request for distributed use
- In Niigata Prefecture, we are predicting congestion on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway
- During the Obon period, Peak line of the Joshin-Etsu Expressway Saturday to August 13 to Monday, August 10km, August 14
We are forecasting a peak congestion of 5km from Tuesday to 16th Thursday.

- Traffic conditions can change significantly depending on accidents and the effects of the weather, so make sure to check the latest road traffic information before departure and take time to go out. 2 Plan for congestion measures
- We plan to implement measures to prevent congestion at the main line and rest facilities.
Regarding congestion countermeasures, we will implement the following measures based on this traffic congestion forecast and past traffic congestion occurrence status. Also, in the past congestion period, small cars were parked in large car parking lots, which caused inconvenience to large car customers, and we plan to secure large car parking.
