NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) is during Golden Week [10 days from April 27 (Friday) to May 6 (Sunday), 2012] We have summarized the locations where traffic congestion is predicted in Niigata Prefecture due to traffic congestion and countermeasures.
1 Request for distributed use
- In Niigata Prefecture, we are predicting congestion on the Joshinetsu Expressway.
- During Golden Week, the top and bottom lines of Joshinetsu Expressway are from Saturday, April 28 to Monday, April 30 and Sunday, May 6 at a peak of 5km, from Thursday, May 3 to May 5. - This traffic congestion forecast is based on the traffic conditions during the past traffic congestion period (Golden Week, etc.).

2 Plan for congestion measures
- We plan to implement measures to prevent congestion at the main line and rest facilities.
Regarding congestion countermeasures, we will implement the following measures based on this traffic congestion forecast and past traffic congestion situation. Also, in the past congestion period, small cars were parked in large car parking lots, which caused inconvenience to large car customers, and we plan to secure large car parking.
