About 2010 clean campaign implementation

NEXCO EAST in, is positioned as the important issue of management efforts to the environment, Niigata Regional Head Office in the tube, posting of garbage of illegal dumping prevention posters, we are working on, such as clean-up activities of the roadside in cooperation with the local community.

The NEXCO EAST Group who is engaged in the Expressway management within the Niigata Regional Head Office, is working together at the “National Waste Disposal Monitoring Week” (5/30-6/5) proposed by the Ministry of the Environment, and employees are involved in SA/PA cleaning activities. We would like to inform you that we will carry out a clean campaign including the exhibition of the and enlightenment panels as follows.

May 31 (Monday) 11:00 to 13:00 Kan-Etsu Expressway Echigo Kawaguchi SA (In-bound line)
Wednesday, June 2 from 11:00 to 13:00 Hokuriku Expressway Kurosaki PA (Out-bound line)
Thursday, June 3 from 11:00 to 13:00 Hokuriku Expressway Yoneyama SA (In-bound line)
Saturday, June 5 from 10:00 to 16:00 Road Station Arai* (Proximity to Arai PA on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway)

2 Campaign content

1. SA/PA cleaning activities by group employees
   (Garbage pick-up in the rest facility, garbage separation work, etc.)
2. Exhibition of awareness panels for "preventing illegal dumping of waste on Expressway"
3. Distributing crude goods with an enlightenment message "reducing household waste"
4. Distributing highway compost as a PR for environmental initiatives
   (Highway compost: Compost made from recycled plant waste generated from tree pruning and mowing on Expressway)
