The entrance to and exit from Tokyo of Misato Regional Head Office Smart Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "Smart IC") on the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Joban Expressway"), which has been developed by Misato City, NEXCO EAST Prefecture and NEXCO East Japan Kanto Branch (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), is expected to open within 2024 based on the current progress of construction.
With the opening of the entrance to and exit from Tokyo, Misato Tollgate Smart IC will become a smart IC that can be accessed from four directions, adding an "entrance to In-bound lane (entrance for Tokyo)" and "exit for the Out-bound lane (exit from Tokyo)" to the currently used "exit for the In-bound lane (entrance for Mito)" and "entrance for the Out-bound lane (entrance for Mito)."
