NEXCO EAST　At the Chiba Management Office (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture), E51 Higashi-Kanto Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Higashi-Kanto East Highway") will be closed at night due to pavement repair work at the ramp of Chiba North Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC").
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time for your trip.

1. 1. Closing location and date and time

   Higashi-Kanto Expressway Chiba Kita IC (Tokyo bound) entrance ramp

   September 2nd (Monday) to September 3rd (Tuesday) 2024

   Every day from 21:00 to 5am the next morning

   Preparation day:

2. Detour

　Follow the blue and pink arrows along National Route 16 and exit at Anagawa IC.
If you take the detour as shown in the diagram below, the estimated travel time to Tokyo (between Chiba Kita IC and Miyanoki JCT) is approximately 9 minutes (usually approximately 2 minutes), and to Ichihara (between Chiba Kita IC and Anakawa IC) is approximately 10 minutes (usually approximately 7 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

At the entrance ramp of the Chiba-Kita IC on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway, pavement repair work will be carried out due to damage to the pavement. The section where this work is to be carried out is one lane, and since it is not possible to carry out construction under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramps on weekday evenings when traffic is low, and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
