NEXCO EAST The Chiba Management Office (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture) will be closed at night to carry out pavement repair work at the ramp of the E51 Higashi-Kanto Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Higashi-Kanto Expressway") Daiei Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC").
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time when you go out.
1. 1. Closing location and date and time
- Closures:
Higashi-Kanto Expressway Daiei IC (towards Tokyo) Exit Ramp - Attached to each line E51 The indications such as indicate the route number (numbering) of Expressway.

2. Detour
- When heading from Narita IC to Daiei IC
As indicated by the blue arrow, take National Route 295 towards Tsukuba and then take National Route 51.
If you take the detour shown in the diagram below, the journey is expected to take approximately 20 minutes (usually approximately 11 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling. - When heading from Shimousa IC to Daiei IC
As indicated by the pink arrows, take Prefectural Route 63 towards Narita city, then use Prefectural Route 79 and National Route 51.
If you take the detour shown in the diagram below, the journey is expected to take approximately 17 minutes (usually about 10 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling. - When heading from Sawara Katori IC to Daiei IC
As indicated by the purple arrows, please take Prefectural Route 253 towards Choshi, then use National Route 356 and National Route 51.
If you take the detour shown in the diagram below, the journey is expected to take approximately 21 minutes (usually approximately 8 minutes).
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.
3. Construction overview
At the exit ramp of the Daiei IC on the Higashi-Kanto Expressway, pavement repair work will be carried out due to damage to the pavement. The section where this work is to be carried out is one lane, and since it is not possible to carry out construction under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramps on weekday evenings when traffic is low, and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

- A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
