Miyoshi Smart, which connects to the E17 Kan-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Kan-Etsu Expressway") Miyoshi Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") (up and down lines), has been developed by Miyoshi Town, Saitama Prefecture Regional Head Office NEXCO EAST East Japan Kanto Branch (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture). The entrance to Tokyo and the exit from Tokyo at the interchange (hereinafter referred to as "Smart IC") will open at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2020.
Regarding the smart IC connected to the Miyoshi PA (up and down lines), all vehicle types with a vehicle length of 12 meters or less and equipped with an on-board ETC device will be able to pass through.
Please note that the operation method for the Miyoshi Smart IC (In-bound line) has changed and you will no longer be able to use the smart IC (In-bound line) after stopping at the Miyoshi PA (In-bound line). For more information, please see “Attachment 1 [PDF: 155KB]”.

- Vehicle type restrictions (regular cars, light cars, and motorcycles with a vehicle length of 6m or less) will be lifted for the entrances and exits heading toward Niigata that are currently in operation.
