- Please see Attachment-1 [PDF: 136KB] for detours due to road closures.
3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic
For customers who temporarily flow out of the Expressway due to traffic closure, bypass the closed section, re-inflow and transfer in the forward direction, we will implement "transfer adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used. increase. (See Attachment-2 [PDF: 159KB])

- 1 Sakudaira Smart IC is limited to ETC vehicles of all models (12m or less).
- 2 There is no tollhouse at each IC because the Chubu Odan Expressway is a free section.
How to use transit adjustment
<< ETC customers >>
- Customers using ETC are requested to run the outflow designated IC wirelessly and the re-inflow designated IC wirelessly. (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles)
- ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate. - Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.
<< Customers for cash, etc. >>
- Customers who pay by cash, etc. should receive the "passage certificate" at the outflow designated IC, and then get the "passport" at the re-inflow designated IC, and then make the "transfer" at the toll booth that pays the fare first. Please give us your "certificate" and "passport".
《Common to customers such as ETC and cash》
- If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.

Out-bound line (Matsuida-Myogi IC ⇒ Usui-Karuizawa IC)
Regulation extension: Approximately 3.0km
6. Outline of tunnel reinforcement work
At the Takaiwayama tunnel between the Joshinetsu Expressway Out-bound line Matsuida-Myogi IC and Usui-Karuizawa IC, we will carry out tunnel reinforcement work to prevent uplift and damage to the road surface due to the expansion of the tunnel ground.
On October 31, 4th year of Reiwa, we will close the traffic at night on the Out-bound line to switch the central drainage pipe in the tunnel.
Please refer to Attachment-2 [PDF: 159KB] for the transfer fare adjustment due to the traffic closure of the nighttime closed section (Matsuida-Myogi IC ⇒ Usui-Karuizawa IC).
[Details of main construction]
Inverts are installed to improve stability for tunnels that are overloaded from the ground to create a stronger ring-like structure. Specifically, after excavating the road surface, concrete (invert) will be installed to reinforce the bottom of the tunnel, and then pavement work will be carried out to return it to a road that can be driven. From May to December 4th year of Reiwa, concrete (lining cradle) to support the tunnel wall surface (lining) and foundation piles (earth retaining piles) of guard fences to ensure the safety of customers will be installed.
- Invert is to connect the bottom of the tunnel to the reverse arch with concrete, which increases the yield strength and prevents subsidence and deformation.
7. 7. Request when using
- Since the construction section will be subject to continuous day and night lane restrictions over a Out-bound line of approximately 3.0km, the number of lanes will be reduced from the current two lanes on each side to one lane. Since the lane width is narrow in the day and night continuous lane regulation section, please observe the regulated speed when driving, secure the inter-vehicle distance, and be careful about rear-end collisions. In addition, the lane position will change depending on the progress of construction, so please be careful when passing.
- Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
- Before going out, please check the latest lane regulations and traffic information on the site described in "8. How to obtain traffic information". In addition, please leave plenty of time when using it.
- During the construction period, we will provide construction regulation information using LED information boards and road signs and call attention to driving safely. Please check this information before driving and drive safely.
- Please refer to Attachment-2 [PDF: 159KB] for the transfer fare adjustment due to the traffic closure of the nighttime closed section (Matsuida-Myogi IC ⇒ Usui-Karuizawa IC). In addition, the transfer fare will not be adjusted due to the detour of the day and night continuous restricted section (Matsuida-Myogi IC ⇒ Usui-Karuizawa IC) except when the traffic is closed at night.
