(1) For those coming from the Tohoku Expressway In-bound line (toward Utsunomiya)

　As shown by the blue arrow, get off the Kuki IC in front of you and use Prefectural Route 3 and National Route 122.
If you detour between Kuki IC and Iwatsuki IC as shown in the figure below, it will take about 38 minutes (usually about 12 minutes).

(2) Ken-O Road Those coming from the inner loop (Tsukuba area)

　As shown by the pink arrow, get off the Satte IC in front of you and use Prefectural Route 383, National Route 4, and National Route 16.
If you detour between Satte IC and Iwatsuki IC as shown in the figure below, it will take about 37 minutes (usually about 18 minutes).

(3) For those coming from the Ken-Ken-O Road Expressway (Tsurugashima area)

　As shown by the orange arrow, get off the Shiraoka-Shobu IC in front of you and use Route 122.
If you detour between Shiraoka-Shobu IC and Iwatsuki IC as shown in the figure below, it will take about 31 minutes (usually about 14 minutes).

Detours will increase the time required, so please take time to go out.

3. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway In-bound Line At the exit lamp of Iwatsuki IC, we will replace the expansion and contraction device due to the seismic reinforcement work. The section where this work is to be carried out is one lane, and it is not possible to carry out the work under normal lane regulations, so it is necessary to close the lamp and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order not to cause any inconvenience to customers, we will close the lamps on weekday nights when there is little traffic, and carry out the construction intensively and efficiently.
