NEXCO EAST Tokyo Bay Aqua Line Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) and Kisarazu Construction Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) have two lane sections (one lane on one side)E14 Tateyama Expressway Kimitsu Interchange (IC) ~ E14 Futtsu-Tateyama Road Tomiura IC will be closed at night for maintenance and repair work and 4 lane construction work.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.
1 closed section and date and time
(1) Closed sectionAn up and down line between the Tateyama Expressway Kimitsu IC and Futtsu Takeoka IC (extension 16.7km)

(2) Closing date and time
From Monday, October 16th, 2017 to Friday, October 20th, every day from 21:00 to 5:00 the next morning (8 hours per day)

- Tateyama Expressway Kimitsu PA and Futtsu-Tateyama Road Highway Oasis Furakuri (Roadside Station Furakuri Tomiyama) can be used until 20:30.
- In case of stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day. (Postponed for the number of days that it was canceled.)
- Judgment of construction will be made at 16:00 on the day of construction.
2 Detour

3 Construction overview
Tateyama Expressway / Futtsu-Tateyama Road maintenance work
Traffic safety measures such as repair of pavement damage points by traveling vehicles and prevention of breakthrough of median strip, inspection of emergency equipment and lighting equipment of consecutive tunnels (number of tunnels: 16 places, extension: about 9.2 km) in the relevant section・In order to maintain a good condition at all times, such as cleaning and repair, we will carry out improvement work and repair work.
To minimize the impact on our customers, we will close the roads during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic is light, and will carry out the work intensively and efficiently.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that customers can use the Expressway safely and comfortably.
- Road maintenance work
We will improve the runnability and safety by improving the damaged parts on the pavement and improving the road markings (lane marks).
- Facility maintenance work
We will inspect and clean the tunnel lighting and emergency equipment to keep them in good condition at all times.
Tateyama Road 4-lane construction
Along with the construction of four lanes on the Tateyama Expressway (Kimitsu-Futtsu Takeoka), part of the rockfall protection fence will be removed as the work progresses.

With the construction of four lanes on the Tateyama Expressway (Kimitsu-Futtsu Takeoka), some of the rockfall protection fences, temporary guardrails, and blindfold nets that were installed for the safety measures of the service lines will be removed along with the construction progress.
