NEXCO EAST Saku Management Office (Saku City, Nagano Prefecture), in order to carry out tunnel repair work on the Out-bound line between Joshin-Etsu Expressway Usui Karuizawa Interchange (“IC”) and Saku IC, from April 2017, 2019 until April, it will be carried out one lane regulated by the day and night continuously.

3 Construction overview

This is the repair work of the "Akari-san" tunnel between Usui Karuizawa IC and Saku IC (Out-bound line) on the Joshin-Etsu Expressway.

Since the lower part of the tunnel is damaged and the pavement surface is being damaged, full-scale repair work will be carried out before the traffic is affected.

Since it takes time to reinforce the damaged lower part of the tunnel body and it is necessary to construct each lane, we will carry out the construction under the day and night continuous lane regulation.

By reinforcing the lower part of the tunnel body, the structure of the tunnel is strengthened, and damage to the paved road surface is repaired to improve safety.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that our customers can use the Expressway safely.
