2 Detour

You can use the train from Ueda/Tokyo to Nagano/Joetsu by turning around in front of the Nagano Expressway Sarah interchange (IC) toll booth, which is adjacent to the Joshin-Etsu Expressway Sarahaya JCT. .. This will increase the mileage by about 2 km and the required time by about 5 minutes, so please take time to go out. There is no additional charge for the detour.

3 Construction overview

Joshin-Etsu Expressway Pavement repair work will be carried out because the pavement of the Sarah JCT is deteriorating.

4 Transfer adjustment

We will adjust the usage fee for customers who leave the Expressway once, bypass the general road and transfer to the same direction again.

  • Customers using ETC
    Please use the same ETC card for all the processes, and go through the ETC lane as usual. Even in this case, as a general rule, the ETC time zone discount applied to direct travel (between the first outflow IC and the first outflow IC after the transfer) is applied, and the fare adjustment will be performed. The charge will be displayed before the adjustment at the exit, but at the time of billing, the charge will be adjusted according to the section used.
  • Customers other than ETC
    Please give the "Expressway suspension connection certificate" which you will get at the leaked IC at the first exit IC after the transfer together with the "entrance ticket" to the staff. The fare will be adjusted after the transfer. If the first exit IC after the transfer is an automatic fare checkout machine, please put it in the checkout machine before the pass ticket for the "Expressway suspension connection certificate".
