NEXCO EAST Kazo Management Office (Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture) will perform pavement repair work on the Sendai area inflow ramp of the Tohoku Expressway Iwatsuki Interchange (IC). During the period, we will carry out night traffic closure (1 night).

We would like to ask for your understanding and cooperation regarding night traffic.

2 Detour

Tohoku Expressway (Out-bound line) toward Sendai, please use the Kuki IC as a detour via National Route 122 or the main local road Saitama Kurihashi Line. (Detour extension: about 15km)

This detour will take about 20 minutes longer than using the Tohoku Expressway, so please take time to go out.

3 Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway Iwatsuki IC lamps are undergoing pavement repair work because the pavement is deteriorating.

This work involves "pavement removal, pavement laying", etc. as a series of operations targeting narrow roads, so it is necessary to stop the inflow lamps before starting work.

Therefore, in order to minimize the impact on our customers, we will close the roads at night when traffic is light and carry out the work intensively and efficiently.
