NEXCO EAST Keihin Management Office (Yokohama, Kanagawa) will carry out pavement repair work to repair the damaged pavement at the connecting passage (lamp) of the Yokohama Yokosuka Road Kariba Interchange (IC).

For this reason, the outflow lamp from the Yokohama Yokosuka Road (In-bound line) Kariba IC to the Shuto Expressway, Kariba Line and National Route 1 will be closed at night. Please use the detour route during construction.

2 Detour

If the Kariba IC is closed, please use the Hodogaya Bypass/Round Route 2 as a detour route to the Shuto Expressway /Kariba Line or National Route 1. If you use the detour route, it will take 10 to 15 minutes to detour, so please take time to go. (Attachment-1 [PDF:222KB])
There is no additional charge for the detour.

3 Construction overview

Over 20 years have passed since the Yokohama Yokosuka Road Kariba IC was widened in 1990, and the paved road surface is being damaged by traveling vehicles. For this reason, traffic will be closed at night and pavement repair work for spilled lamps will be carried out. Since this work involves a series of operations such as "pavement removal, pavement laying, and road marking" for areas with narrow roads, it is necessary to close the ramps.

For this reason, we will implement it during night hours when traffic is light so that the impact on our customers will be minimal. There may be some work noise during the construction work, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that customers can use the Expressway safely and comfortably.
