NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Ota-ku, Tokyo) are Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Umihotaru Parking Area (PA) on Thursday, August 9th. We will recruit 300 people, the largest scale ever, to participate in the popular "Aqualine Expedition" event that will be held at "2012 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" (170 last year).
This "Aqualine Expedition" is very popular as a free summer study for children and a social tour program that adults can also enjoy, and we receive over 10 times the number of applicants every year. Last year, it was a very popular tour, which was 50 times as many (about 8,500 applicants for 170 people).

2 What is Aqualine Expedition
"How did you build bridges and tunnels in the sea? ], "How thick is the wall of an undersea tunnel?" , "If a traffic accident or fire should occur in the undersea tunnel, where would you escape?" ]...
The Tokyo Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway, which crosses Tokyo Bay with a bridge and a submarine tunnel, has many construction techniques and safety measures that are not generally known.
In this year's Aqualine expedition, in addition to the Awanami patrol boat of the Chiba Coast Guard Department, Coast Guard Headquarters, Japan Coast Guard, in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway, Yokosuka Regional General Manager Yokosuka With the help of the Guard's special-purpose boat, "Hade-dake", we can observe the aqua line from the sea and explore the backyard of the Expressway we can usually never enter, and we will approach the real image of the unknown aqua line. ..
The Aqualine Expedition will be held as part of the "2012 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" held on Thursday, August 9. Details of "2012 Summer Festival in Umihotaru" will be announced later.
- In addition to recruiting for the Aqualine Expedition, 150 people can participate in a tour where you can observe the inside of the special-purpose boat "Hashidate" anchored by the application on the day of the event.
