NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office length: Shinichi Ishikawa), the Gaikan Expressway and Keiyo Road due to the construction of Keiyo junction and is connected (JCT) (tentative name), Keiyo Road established a bypass road in We are working to change lanes in order to do so.
With this construction, we will inform you that the lane will be changed to the detour road to be installed about the In-bound line between the Keiyo Road Ichikawa Interchange (IC) and the Shinozaki gateway.
When changing lanes, traffic restrictions may reduce the number of lanes, so there are times when traffic congestion is expected.Therefore, when you go out, be sure to have time to spare and to the parallel Higashi-Kanto Expressway. Please detour (see Attachment 1 [PDF: 30KB]) and use public transportation.

1 In-bound lane overview of the changes to the line bypass road
- November 15 (Sunday) to November 23 (Mon) (including preliminary date) to carry out day and night continuous regulation, In-bound to change the lane line to the bypass road.
Monday, November 16th, around 4am: We will change lanes to the bypass road. - From November 24th (Tuesday) to December 4th (Friday) (including preliminary days), construction will be performed at the Ichikawa IC's Tokyo area entrance ramp.
Please note that the width of the lane may be reduced during the construction period. Especially for large vehicles, please drive at a slow enough speed.
2 Traffic regulation due to lane change to detour road
During the following periods, the number of lanes you can drive will decrease to 2 lanes during the day and 1 lane at night.
- Daytime: 5:00~22:00, Nighttime: 22:00~5:00
Period: Sunday, November 15, 2009-Monday, November 23, 2009 (including preliminary days)
Along with this, traffic congestion is expected.
The time zones and the length of traffic jams that are expected to occur on each day are as follows.

- In case of stormy weather, postponement and work will be carried out on a spare day
- We anticipate a long traffic jam, taking into consideration the detours to the parallel East Kanto route.
3 How to obtain road traffic information
(1) Information on day-night continuous control work
- We will post and distribute posters, notice signs and leaflets in the service area (SA), parking area (PA), etc.
- We will inform you through newspaper advertisements and radio commercials.
- A banner will be posted on Expressway and overpasses such as national roads.
- This press release material will be posted on our website.

4 Work details during the detour period
