One year has passed since the opening of the Ken-O Road Expressway (Hachioji JCT-Akiruno IC) on June 23, 2007. We are pleased to inform you that we have summarized the effects of the opening.
- Ken-O Road use traffic volume increased about 52% to 29,900 vehicles / day from 19,700 vehicles / day (Ome IC ~ Iruma IC)
(Large vehicles doubled from 3,600 units/day to 7,200 units/day)
- Ken-O Road about 40% of the Chuo Expressway - the traffic (19,500 vehicles / day) to use the inter-of Hachioji JCT ~ Hachioji west IC Kan-Etsu Expressway continuous use of the (use as a ring road)
- The traffic volume of large vehicles also decreases on the surrounding roads
- Up to approximately 25% decrease in large vehicles on the residential road between the Ken-O Road Expressway and Route 16.

- At the Konita intersection of Akishima City on Route 16, the number of large vehicles decreased by about 14%
(17,600 units/day → 15,100 units/day) - National highway No. 411 Decreased by 22% in large vehicles at the intersection of Tangomachi 3-chome, Hachioji City
(4,600 units/day → 3,600 units/day)
