1 Construction overview
The section between Joshin-Etsu Expressway between Toyota Iiyama IC and Shinanomachi IC is a 13-km section with two lanes (including some 4-car sections), of which the tunnel occupies about 46% (about 6 km). In order for customers to use it safely, it is necessary to regularly inspect tunnel emergency equipment and lighting equipment, replace lamps, repair road damage points and maintain/inspect traffic safety facilities. One way to minimize the impact is to close roads during the night on weekdays when traffic is light and to carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.

2 Detour
If you use the relevant section when the road is closed, there is a route that bypasses the main local road Nakano-Toyono line and general national roads 117 and 18. It takes about 20 minutes from Shinshu Nakano IC to Shinanomachi IC, but if you use the detour route, it will take about 30 minutes, so if you use this section, please be sure to have enough time to go out. ..
If you use the Out-bound line from the Nagano area, you can go to the Toyota Iiyama IC, but it is convenient for passengers heading for the Joetsu Shinanomachi area to leave Shinshu Nakano IC and take the detour on Route 18.

3 Regarding connection fare adjustment due to suspension of traffic
