About revision of national expense calculation amount pertaining to FY2007 Expressway toll social experiment

East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (NEXCO EAST), Central Japan Expressway Co., Ltd. (NEXCO CENTRAL), and further effective use of Expressway network We are conducting a fee-based social experiment.

In this experiment, the amount of impact* on the Expressway company's income due to the discount of tolls is to be borne by the national government, but recently, the calculation of the national borne amount for the experiment conducted in FY2007 was carried out. With regard to the above, it was found that corrections were necessary as described below, and the Expressway company returned the difference in the amount of measures to the national treasury.

We apologize for the revision of the burden on the country that should be handled rigorously, and in the future, we will fully check with the maintenance bureau and the Expressway company to prevent recurrence.
