At the Chiba Doctor Helicopter Management Council, in order to start full-scale operation of the takeoff and landing of the Expressway by the doctor helicopter from April 2007, firefighting using the construction suspension of the Tateyama Expressway (Kisarazu Minami JCT-Kimitsu IC) Doctor Helicopter Expressway Main Line takeoff and landing training will be conducted with the participation of relevant organizations such as agencies, police agencies, and NEXCO EAST.
It will be the first time in Japan that the mainline takeoff and landing training using a doctor helicopter on a Expressway after opening will take place.

(5) Purpose of training
At the Chiba Doctor Helicopter Management Council, the relevant ministries (Police Agency, Fire Department, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) indicated the requirements for takeoff and landing of the doctor helicopter as a response to serious accidents on Expressway The evaluation criteria for setting the difficulty level, the setting of the takeoff and landing difficulty based on the evaluation criteria, and the procedures for contacting related organizations (doctor helicopter, fire engine, police agency, NEXCO EAST), etc. were examined, and April 1, 2007 We decided to start operation from the day.
Assuming rescue, rescue drills and rescue transport activities using a doctor helicopter as a response to a serious accident, this training will be conducted to confirm the communication system between related organizations and to ensure safety such as traffic regulation when taking off and landing on a doctor helicopter. We will enhance cooperation between institutions and aim for quick and efficient operation.
(6) Assumption of training
At around 10:30 am on Thursday, April 12, four accidents involving four related vehicles occurred near 67KP Out-bound the Tateyama Expressway Hatchono, Kisarazu City.
- The accident resulted in injuries. In addition, since there are severely ill persons trapped inside the wagon vehicles, the fire department started a rescue operation and requested the dispatch of a doctor by a doctor helicopter.
- Transport the doctor to the rendezvous point and go straight to the accident site by ambulance
