NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) will hold a joint road work training session with the Hokkaido Prefectural Police Headquarters Expressway Traffic Police Unit, which is the traffic manager, and the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), which is well known for its towing operations. The joint training session aims to strengthen cooperation, leading to smooth accident handling and lane security, and to provide customers with "safe, secure, comfortable and convenient" Expressway services.

Five. Implementation overview

Supposing a traffic accident on Expressway, a series of road operation training will be conducted within the Tomakomai Chuo Interchange, from the arrival of patrol cars from the Expressway Traffic Police and NEXCO Traffic Management Team at the scene of the accident, to contacting and reporting to relevant authorities, restricting lanes, guiding following general vehicles, handling the accident with towing services by the JAF, and lifting the restrictions.
