- We have summarized the effects of improving the Expressway in Hokkaido, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) opened the Do-O Expressway Expressway Interchange (IC) -Kitahiroshima IC and Otaru IC on the Sasson Expressway in December 1971. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Sapporo Nishi IC, we would like to inform you that we have summarized the maintenance effects so that you can widely understand the history and effects of the opening of the Hokkaido Expressway to the present.

In the typhoon disaster in August 2016, the Doto Expressway exerts an alternative route function as a main route connecting the Central Hokkaido area and the Eastern Hokkaido area.
