NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Sapporo City Atsubetsu-ku) has compiled traffic congestion forecasts on Expressway in Hokkaido during the year-end and New Year period (December 27 (Fri) to January 5 (Sun) 10 days).
1 Congestion prediction
During the year-end and New Year holidays this year, it is predicted that traffic congestion will occur at the Kitahiroshima IC exit on the E5Hokkaido Expressway on January 1st (Wednesday), 2nd (Thursday), and 3rd (Friday).
* Congestion: A state in which a convoy that repeatedly runs at low speed or stops and starts at a speed of 1 km or more, 15 minutes or more, and 40 km / h or less continues.

- Please keep a sufficient distance between cars in a traffic jam area and drive at a safe speed. If you feel tired, don't overdo it and try to take an early break at the rest facility.
- In order to prevent a rear-end collision in a traffic jam section, if you confirm a traffic jam ahead, please cooperate with us by turning on the hazard lamp and signaling the following vehicle.
