2 About "Fukushima Sunflower Foster Parents Project"
- In an activity aimed at supporting reconstruction after the Great East Japan Earthquake, we purchased sunflower seeds from a welfare facility for people with disabilities in Fukushima Prefecture, harvested the seeds from the flowers raised in that seed, and sent them to Fukushima. By growing the seeds again, the sunflower flower is a symbol of reconstruction.
- The Muroran Management Office participated in this project and cultivated sunflowers at resting facilities such as Usuzan SA in Hokkaido, but this time the seed harvest season has come.
- This time, in addition to the "Sun Garden", which has been working on "Takafuku (happiness) collaboration" since 2017, a volunteer of a high school student from Otani Muroran High School in Hokkaido will also join the collaboration to perform seed harvesting work.
