1 To use the Expressway winter safely and comfortably

On winter Expressway, the number of accidents in winter is about 1.8 times greater than in summer, and the number of accidents increases sharply every year, usually in early winter around November. When using the Expressway during the winter, please drive safely depending on the weather and road surface conditions. Also, please wear early winter equipment such as wearing winter tires.

The total distance of snow removal work for these snowfalls is about 340,000 km, which is equivalent to about 8.5 orbits of the earth. The region with the earliest snowfall was October 13 at Tomamu Observatory.
