NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) predicts traffic congestion and measures for traffic congestion at Expressway in Hokkaido during the Obon period [August 6th to August 16th] I have summarized the above, so I will inform you.

This traffic congestion forecast is based on the past traffic conditions such as Bon Festival and Golden Week.
- On Expressway Hokkaido, we predict congestion and congestion mainly during the second half of the period (August 13 to August 15).
- Especially on the Doto Expressway, the following relatively large traffic congestions are predicted.
8/13 (Thu) Yubari IC ~ Mukawa Hobetsu IC (Obihiro direction) About 15km near the Oyubari tunnel
8/15 (Sat) About 10km near the Hobetsu tunnel exit of Mukawa Hobetsu IC ~ Shimukappu IC (Chitose direction)
- Even outside the Obon period, congestion is expected due to the event being held at the Hokkaido Expressway Iwamizawa IC (Asahikawa direction) exit on July 18th and the Hokkaido Expressway Chitose IC (Tomakomai direction) exit on July 19th (Sunday).

Measures against traffic congestion
