From December 18, 2012, NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Sapporo City Atsubetsu-ku) will carry out the tunnel simultaneous inspection based on the instruction from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism about "simultaneous inspection of road accessories in the tunnel." Please be advised that some sections will be closed at night until 21st.

1 Targets of inspections carried out due to the suspension of traffic
We will inspect heavy structures such as jet fans and large signs installed in the tunnel. There is no tunnel with a ceiling board installed on the Expressway within the NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office.
2 Inspection method
For inspection, check the presence or absence of damage or abnormalities in the road attachments by focusing on the attachment part to the tunnel body, checking the anchor bolts, nuts, joints, etc. by close visual inspection, tapping, and palpation.
3 Date and time of suspension of traffic (inspection)
The schedule for nighttime closures due to the inspection is as follows. The inspection will be carried out even if the road is closed due to snow.
