NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) will increase the number of customers returning home by using the Expressway during Christmas and New Year's holidays. We will inform you about the "Traffic Safety Campaign" as follows.

2 Contents of the traffic safety campaign
At each location, we will call for "Winter Road Traffic Safety" and "Wear All Seat Belts" while handing safe driving leaflets and manatee goods (such as mechanical pens and wet tissues) on winter roads.
3 Precautions for safe use of winter Expressway
- Even if it is sunny in the winter, the weather may change suddenly due to sudden snowstorms, so keep a sufficient distance between vehicles and turn on the lights to make your car stand out during a snowstorm.
- Expressway, the tunnel entrances, bridges, and shaded areas tend to freeze, so be especially careful. Be sure to keep safe speed so that you will not slip, and refrain from driving with sudden stops, such as sudden braking or sudden steering.
- There are 3 gas stations in Expressway (Sunagawa SA, Waatsu PA, Usuyama SA). Before driving, make sure to check the remaining amount of gasoline and make a plan for refueling before you start.
- All seat belts are compulsory. Be sure to fasten your seat belts not only in the driver's seat and passenger seat, but also in the rear seats.
