Disposal of industrial waste in seismic retrofitting of Oyachi viaduct

1 Situation

Do-O Expressway At the site of the earthquake resistant reinforcement work between the Chitose IC and the Kitahiroshima IC, the subcontractor was informed that asphalt concrete lumps were dumped while the excavated soil was backfilled.

In response to this, the main contractor interviewed construction staff and others, and as a result, confirmed the dumping of asphalt concrete blocks into the backfill soil and reported it to us.
