During winter, traffic accidents occur frequently and there are many road closures due to snow, so it is even more necessary to secure safe traffic.
For this reason, we have positioned the Expressway in Hokkaido from October 16 to April 30 as the snow and ice countermeasure period, and we will finally enter the snow and ice system from October 16th.
Prior to this, the Hokkaido Police Headquarters, which is the traffic manager, and the Hokkaido Regional Head Office of the East Japan Expressway Co., Ltd., which is the road manager, jointly announced that the Expressway was prepared for winter, and also provided customers with traffic safety and quickness.
