To prevent collisions or contact between slow-moving rotary snowplows and customers' vehicles, these sign vehicles are installed at the rear of the snowplows to warn drivers of their presence. The distance between the sign vehicle and the snowplow is not always constant, and must be adjusted appropriately depending on the road shape and structure, such as in places where the road is difficult to see ahead due to curves, etc.

For this reason, the system under development will use the satellite positioning system to obtain the location information of the snowplow and the sign vehicle, as well as vehicle-to-vehicle communication to share the location information of both vehicles and specify the distance between the vehicles, and will adjust the distance appropriately according to the road's linearity. The sign vehicle will also be equipped with a sensor to detect obstacles ahead, such as snow blocks that have fallen from the snow piles on the side after snow removal, ensuring the safety of autonomous driving. This technology aims to reduce the number of passengers from the current two to one by reducing the labor and efficiency of the work.
