Providing road traffic information and traffic congestion prediction information
- Road traffic conditions change from moment to moment due to accidents, weather, etc.
Check the latest road traffic information before departure and during your trip. - The traffic jam prediction information shows the location of the traffic jam, the length of the traffic jam for each time zone, the time of the peak traffic jam, etc., so please use it for planning your travel date and time.
- You can use road traffic information and traffic congestion prediction information from the following sites.
2. Schedule of congestion measures at rest facilities, etc.
Based on traffic congestion forecasts and past traffic congestion periods (GW, Obon, year-end and New Year holidays, etc.), we will be implementing measures at rest facilities, etc., especially during periods when particularly heavy congestion is predicted. Assignment of parking lot attendants, installation of temporary toilets, and securing parking spaces for large vehicles. We are planning to implement measures to prevent congestion.
3. 3. Request for alleviation of traffic congestion
A little consideration on the part of customers can help alleviate traffic congestion. Thank you for your cooperation.
- In-bound attention to the rate of decrease in the slope
In-bound in a place that is alerting the slowdown, such as slope, your attention to the speed decrease! - Do not over tighten the following distance
Please secure enough following distance so as not to step on unnecessary brakes while driving! - Avoid changing lanes
Please refrain from changing lanes more than necessary during traffic congestion, as this will make the traffic even worse!
Four. Request for safe driving
Accidents occur frequently during traffic congestion periods. When using Expressway, please be sure to "fasten your seatbelt at all seats" and "take frequent and early breaks."
Additionally, on Expressway, there are warnings to warn of rear-end collisions at the tail end of traffic jams, so please pay attention to the road ahead.
Five. Be careful of snow on Expressway in winter
In winter, Expressway can be hit by sudden heavy snowfalls. In addition to carefully checking the weather information, please carry tire chains and use winter tires (such as studless tires) in case of emergency. Snowy roads in winter are more slippery than dry roads.
On such a road surface, driving with "abrupt" (sudden steering, sudden acceleration, sudden braking) is very dangerous. Please keep your speed low and keep a safe distance between vehicles.
