1 History
- At the Nishi-Nippon Expressway Kansai Regional Head Office, from October 2017 to January 2018, notification of the number of violation points was sent to the same association to which the company belongs every month. (Notice 4 times in total)
- In February 2018, Regional Head Office confirmed the violation score for the past shipment, and as a result, it was found that the violation was of another company with the same name and the notification of the violation score so far was incorrect. did. (Note that the number of violations is notified from Regional Head Office registered by each union, so another union Regional Head Office belongs to the union to which the other company of the same name who actually violated belongs. I was notified of the number of violations.)
- For this reason, in March 2018, Regional Head Office explained to the company and the union that it was an erroneous notification, the cause of the occurrence, etc., and then handed over the correction document of the violation score to the union again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
2 Cause
Due to a lack of confirmation / checking when collecting the violation points, mistakes in the counting, etc., a misidentification of the violation event with that of another company of the same name, or notification of incorrect points, etc. occurred.
3 Results of 100% survey conducted from March 2018
In response to this false notification, three Expressway companies, including West Japan Expressway Co., Ltd., conducted a survey from March 2018 for similar false notification cases. As a result, there were no cases of accidentally notifying other companies with the same name, such as this event, but we found 15 new cases of notification of incorrect score or omission of notification of violation score. In addition, we apologize to all 15 persons concerned and corrected the violation points.

4 Recurrence prevention measures (common to Expressway companies)
- At the time of on-site enforcement of a vehicle restriction order violation, we will make a telephone call to the company to which the violating vehicle belongs and check the content of the violation, the number of the violating vehicle, the owned vehicle, etc., and strive to accurately identify the violating company. - In order to thoroughly eliminate duplicate notifications and counting mistakes, we will build a check system to share and check the counting results with each Expressway company.
- Before issuing the notification document of the number of violation points, we will contact the violated union member in advance.
- When notifying the number of violations, we will inform the union of not only the number of violations of the members but also the details of the violation so that we can confirm the fact of the violation.
Supplementary material
