About NEXCO EAST, NEXCO CENTRAL, NEXCO WEST, about the highway tour bus accident that occurred on April 29, 2012 at Kan-Etsu Expressway Although the causal relationship is unclear, the concrete wall (wall balustrade) is based on the seriousness of the tragic accident that 7 people die and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's request for implementation of countermeasures to further enhance safety. We will implement traffic safety measures such as conforming to the current standards for protective fences where the front of the guardrail is discontinuous.

1 Conformity with the current standards for the discontinuity between the concrete wall (wall balustrade) and the front of the guardrail
Up until now, we have tried to comply with the current standards when aging and renovating protective fences, etc., but NEXCO 3 companies out of about 5,100 discontinuous points, regulated speed and large vehicles. Focusing on priority sections that take into consideration traffic volume, etc., we will implement the replacement work of guardrails that conform to the current standards one by one.
