We would like to pray for the souls of those who have died in the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, and to express our deepest sympathies to the affected people.
This time, were damaged by the earthquake Sendai-Tobu Road Sendai Wakabayashi JCT ~ Sanriku Expressway Rifu JCT between (In-bound to emergency restoration of the line) is completed. As a result, it is possible to use 4 up and down lanes for the same section. In addition, the Sendai Kohoku Interchange (IC) tollgate, which was damaged by the tsunami, has been completely restored and can be used.
1 Closure cancellation section (planned)
The sections where suspension of traffic is canceled after 14:00 on March 30 are as follows.

- Along with this, emergency restoration will be completed for 827 km, which is approximately 95% of the total 870 km section of 20 routes such as Expressway damaged by the earthquake.
2 Use of Sendai Kohoku IC (planned)
After 14:00 on March 30, it will be available in all directions for the outflow and inflow of Sendai Kohoku IC.
3 Precautions when using the Expressway
Lanes and speed limits are enforced in sections where emergency restoration is carried out, and in part, there are some road bumps and undulations. Please drive while paying sufficient attention to safety.
