NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Shigejiro Yagi), Tohoku Expressway Hanyu PA (Out-bound line) will be the second model of the new Expressway commercial facility "Pasar" brand. We will start construction on February 2, 2009 (Monday) for commercial facility renovation work, aiming to open in November 2009.

"Pasar Hanyu" (Out-bound line) will create a space that is based on the concept of "sophisticated and modern Japanese modernity" and the image of "the beginning of a journey on the Tohoku Expressway".

In line with this renovation work, the parking lot will be improved and the toilets will be refreshed, and the entire Hanyu PA (Out-bound line) will be transformed into a comfortable facility that is environmentally and barrier-free.

NEXCO EAST we will deploy "Pasar" at about 20 locations.

[Store development]

  • We aim to develop stores that are "discerning and genuine", including "Japanese sweets", gourmet restaurants, authentic cafes, freshly baked bakeries, and various food courts. In addition, we have introduced the popular shopping zone “Shunsen Club” in “Pasar Makuhari”, which is already open, so that you can purchase carefully selected seasonal products. We will also open a convenience store and offer convenience on Expressway.

Parking improvements

  • The layout of the parking space will be changed in consideration of the ease of use and safety for customers, and at the same time, we will add parking spaces for people with disabilities and a new parking space for buses.

Toilet refresh

  • Based on the three concepts of "clean and comfortable to use," "easy to use for more children and the elderly," "remove various barriers to use with peace of mind" Western-style toilets are used for 80%, and all are heated and heated toilet seats. We will improve toilet facilities by removing hot water and toilets for children, toilets for children that are easy for children to use, and a powder corner for women's toilets to eliminate toilet steps and improve toilets that are easy for customers to use.

Barrier-free

  • Expand the sidewalk in front of the store to eliminate the step between the sidewalk and the parking lot. In addition, the built-in guide light improves the environment in which it is easy to walk even at night.

Consideration for the environment

  • In addition to using "energy-saving lighting equipment" and "energy-saving air conditioning equipment" in the facility, "water-holding pavement" and "solar cell-type embedded LED lighting" are used in the sidewalks, and heat-insulating pavement is used in the parking lot. Adopted and take environmentally friendly measures.
  • About sales during construction period
  • During the construction period from February 2, 2009 to November 2009, which is scheduled to open, temporary store operations will be conducted. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding and cooperation.
  • The temporary stores are open from 7am to 8pm. Please note that the current business hours (open 24 hours) will change. The Sano SA (Out-bound) next to Hanyu PA can be used for 24 hours.
