NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Shigejiro Yagi) has begun construction. From the Moka Interchange (IC) on the Kita-Kanto Expressway (nickname: "Kitakan") to the Sakuragawa Chikusei IC (extension). 14.9km) will be opened, connecting the Tohoku Expressway and Joban Expressway.
With the opening of this service, the total extension of "Kitaseki" will be approximately 122km and the maintenance rate will be approximately 80%.
At the same time, the Mibu Parking Area (PA) under construction between Toga IC and Mibu IC and Kasama PA under construction between Kasama Nishi IC and Tomobe IC will be completed on the same day.

Furthermore, "Kitaseki" is under construction with the aim of opening the entire line at an early stage. Various effects can be expected with the opening of the whole line in Kitaseki.
